Mr. Andrew Gordon

Andrew Gordon attended Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan and completed his BA in Geology at Rice University. Mr. Gordon returned to a career in science education after 25 years working in the private sector as an Environmental Consultant and later as an Importer/Wholesaler. Mr. Gordon was an Assistant Instructor for Indiana University’s highly-regarded Field Geology course in the Rocky Mountains. Mr. Gordon also served as the Boys Head Basketball Coach at Baruch College Campus High School in NYC for three years.

Prior to joining the Oratory faculty, Mr. Gordon taught Middle School Science in Newark. In recent years Mr. Gordon completed his MS in Teaching & Learning Chemistry from the New Jersey Center for Teaching & Learning (NJCTL). Mr. Gordon currently teaches all levels of Chemistry and is the moderator of the Robotics Club. This is his eighth year at Oratory.
