Admission Agreements
Students of Oratory benefit from articulation agreements with several well-known colleges which offer a number of benefits to OP graduates. These articulation agreements represent formal partnerships between Oratory Prep and the participating postsecondary institutions, and outline the direct benefits provided to our students, such as guaranteed admission, reduced tuition, or scholarship awards.
Catholic University of America
Catholic University offers guaranteed admission to OP students with a 3.0 unweighted GPA. Students applying to engineering, biology, chemistry, physics or nursing programs must have reach Pre-Calculus and have completed three lab sciences with no less than a B average. CUA will award a minimum academic scholarship in the amount of $22,000 annually.
St. Bonaventure University
Oratory Prep students meeting the minimum admissibility standard of a 3.2 GPA (85 Average) and recommended through the Junior Scholars Program or otherwise recommended by an Oratory Preparatory School Counselor will receive a minimum of a $20,000 four-year award with a total value of $80,000.
King's College
King's College offers guaranteed admissions to OP students with a 2.75 GPA. Scholarships awarded ranged from $18,000 to $25,000. Additionally, OP students will receive an annual grant in the amount of $1,000. To learn about specific details for different areas of study, please contact Mrs. Competelli.
Misericordia University
For OP students with a 3.0 GPA, Misericordia University grants guaranteed admission with a minimum 4-year merit scholarship award of $14,000 with an additional $3,000 residential grant for each year the student resides in university housing. Five- and six-year programs have different criteria; see Mrs. Competelli for details.
Mount Saint Mary College
Mount Saint Mary College will guarantee admission and a four-year, renewable scholarship to OP students who earn a minimum GPA of a 3.0 (85) or better. Students will receive a minimum academic scholarship of $17,000 per year, a $2,000 Catholic School Grant, and a $2,000 grant if the student opts to reside on campus. Students with a GPA below a 3.0 will be reviewed on an individual basis. The FAFSA must be completed. University of Scranton
The University of Scranton guarantees admission to all bachelor's level programs with a minimum $22,000 per year scholarship with a total value of $88,000 to all Oratory students with a 3.0 or higher GPA. These programs have special requirements: Occupational Therapy (5 year Master’s Program or 6½ year Doctorate Program), Nursing (bachelor’s degree), Communication Sciences and Disorders (bachelor’s degree), and Doctor of Physical Therapy (guaranteed seat for 7-year program). For these programs, students must have a minimum GPA of 3.7, and will receive a minimum $20,000 scholarship with a total value of $80,000. In order to qualify for guaranteed admission to those degree programs, students must apply Early Action to The University of Scranton and complete all application requirements by November 15th of their Senior year.
Siena College
Oratory Prep Seniors who apply to Siena College prior to the October 15th Early Action Deadline and who hold a minimum 3.0 and complete other entrance requirements will receive, at minimum, $57,000 in scholarships over the course of four years of undergraduate status. Depending on the student's curriculum, they may be required to submit an SAT or ACT score. Applicants must complete an interview with a member of the Siena College Admissions Office. Application fees are waived for the Siena College Express Application. Students applying to the eight-year, BA/MD and Baldwin Nursing Programs are not eligible for this agreement.
