At the county meet, both the varsity and JV teams placed 4th overall—an outstanding accomplishment in a competitive field. Freshman Greyson Astle led the JV squad with a career-best 17:56 on the 5150-meter course, finishing 6th overall. In the varsity race, senior captain Connor Bassolino finished 4th with a time of 16:15, making him the second-fastest runner in OP history at Warinanco Park and the fastest OP senior ever. He was followed by captain James Nolan (16:53), with Stephen Polefko, Alexander Kieschke, and Chase Lynch all running personal bests to round out the scoring.
Just a week later, OPXC claimed another Catholic Track Conference Championship. Bassolino and Nolan once again led the way, finishing 2nd and 3rd overall. Seniors Lynch and Kieschke, along with freshman Polefko, completed the scoring five. The JV squad earned a strong 2nd-place finish, led by freshman Robert Dudley and sophomore Will Timbie.
The Rams’ depth, leadership, and personal best performances made this a memorable and successful championship season for OPXC.
