This year, Oratory Prep bids a fond farewell to Mrs. Sherry Mahan, who retired after 26 years of faithful service to our school community. Alumni parent of Michael Tighe ’09, Sherry began her journey with OP in 1999, quickly becoming a beloved fixture in the Main Office of the Bain Building. Known for her warm smile, kind heart, and steady presence, she welcomed students each morning and served as a constant support for families and faculty alike. Her work often went beyond the expected, and Sherry brought a smile and joy to every interaction.
In her later years at OP, Sherry transitioned into a Facilities role, where her talents shone just as brightly. She played an essential part in organizing graduation ceremonies, ensuring each event reflected the care and excellence OP is known for. Her attention to detail, reliability, and willingness to pitch in wherever needed earned her the admiration of colleagues across departments. Though her daily presence will be missed, her impact remains woven into the fabric of our school. We are deeply grateful for her years of dedication and wish her happiness, health, and relaxation in this next chapter of life.
