For 115 years, Oratory Prep has offered a rigorous academic program while remaining committed to the character development of young men and upholding the Roman Catholic tradition. One of the greatest indicators of OP’s continued success is the postsecondary achievements of our graduates.
The Class of 2025, made up of 72 outstanding Seniors, has upheld this legacy—earning admission to some of the most prestigious colleges and universities in the country. Every member of the senior class earned admission to a four-year college or university and will continue their education this fall. Nearly 30% of the class was admitted to their top-choice school by December—an early and exciting result in what proved to be a very competitive admissions cycle.
Among the notable schools our graduates will attend are Boston College, Villanova, Wake Forest, Bowdoin, Hamilton, Rutgers, the University of Florida, the University of Georgia, Providence, West Point, William & Mary, Lafayette, Lehigh, Bucknell, NJIT/NJSM’s 7-year medical program, George Washington University, and Penn State.
Students in the Class of 2025 also earned acceptances to other highly selective institutions, including Georgetown, Middlebury, Brandeis, UCLA, UC San Diego, and the University of Southern California.
These impressive results speak to the Class of 2025's determination, scholarship, and drive. Oratory Prep’s faculty and staff are proud of all that these students have accomplished and look forward with confidence to the impact they will have in the next chapter of their academic and personal journeys.
Beyond academics, this graduating class has exemplified leadership, service, and Brotherhood. In addition to their many hours of volunteer work with local organizations and the meaningful impact they made in their communities, four members of the class earned the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and nine were recognized with the American Citizenship Award by the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
Mrs. Marybeth Competelli, OP's Director of College Planning, shared her admiration: The graduates of the Class of 2025 are standouts. What I love about this class is how they embraced their uniqueness. Whether their strengths are academic rigor, leadership, community mindedness, athletics, music, cooking, or something else, they proudly showcased them. I think colleges recognized the character, talents, and potential in our Seniors and what they could bring to campus. Oratory Prep strives to support and prepare students to "contribute positively to our communities" and these individuals are going to do just that.
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 on this exciting milestone! 🐏🎓✝️
