Official Comment Policy of Oratory Prep

Oratory Prep uses social and other forms of public media as a communication tool to share school news and information. Pages are maintained and moderated by either the Director of Communications, school staff members, or team coaches.

We encourage civil and thoughtful dialogue in all settings, including online. OP reserves the right to use the automated comment moderation tools available on each social platform, and expressly reserves the right to actively remove comments that contain:
  • Content unrelated to the post itself.
  • Personal attacks on other users or individuals.
  • Information/personal views related to personnel.
  • Foul language (profane or provocative; hateful, racially or ethnically offensive, or derogatory; threats; obscene or explicit; etc.).
  • “Trolling” (deliberately offensive or provocative comments with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting angry responses).
  • Spam or the intent to sell a product or service.
  • Links to external sources.
  • Copyrighted materials.

To encourage respectful dialogue, we’ve posted these simple guidelines below:
  • Stay on topic.
  • Be respectful.
  • Do not post spam, links, or other forms of promotion.

We retain the discretion to determine which comments violate our comment policy. We also reserve the right to remove those violations and to limit aggressive users' access to our content. To that end, users who repeatedly violate our guidelines will be banned or blocked from interacting with our social media pages/accounts/online content, and may be reported for any relevant terms of service violations as appropriate and allowable by the platform.

Should you have questions or concerns about a post or other content, please contact the Director of Communications.
