Relay Wins and Record Effort

Led by Senior captains Ronan Hamon, Cathal Hislop, Luke Gardner, and Ben Fenandoe, the Rams qualified for the Non-Public North playoffs and competed against Don Bosco at the Summit YMCA. In a strong team performance, Oratory won both the 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays, powered by Ian Kehoe, Gardner, Hislop, and Jonathan Peterson.

Individually, Hislop captured the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly, Kehoe won the 200 IM, and Peterson took first in the 50 and 100 freestyle. After 11 events, the meet was tied 86–86. As a playoff meet, the final result was determined by power points. During the review process, a scoring inaccuracy was identified, and the corrected final score was 86–84 in favor of Don Bosco.

The meet marked the conclusion of a successful season in which the Rams competed against many of New Jersey’s top teams. We recognize our Seniors for their leadership and contributions this year and throughout their careers: captains Cathal Hislop, Ben Fenandoe, Ronan Hamon, and Luke Gardner, along with multi-winter-sport athlete Donald Yapczenski. Their contributions this season and throughout their careers have strengthened the foundation of Ram Swimming for years to come.
