Students are assigned to a college counselor at the beginning of their Junior year. While the college process gains momentum in Junior year, we understand that students and families might have questions before then. Students and families are encouraged to contact our office at any time.

Our college counselors have worked at competitive colleges and universities and bring this direct experience to our conversations. They stay informed about recent admissions trends through active membership in professional organizations and by attending several conferences, workshops, and continuing education opportunities annually. Following the adage that “it takes a village,” our college counselors collaborate with students, families, admissions representatives, and fellow college counselors to best prepare our Rams for their post-secondary plans.

The department coordinates numerous events and programs each academic year. These include:
  • 90+ College reps at Oratory Prep each year
  • College Research Class — taken in Junior year
  • College Financial Aid Night
  • College Panel Night
  • Junior College Night
  • Case Studies Night
  • Individual College Planning Meetings for Junior and Senior students and families
  • Regular check-in meetings throughout the year to review applications, essays, college lists, interview prep, and other pertinent topics

At every step, Oratory Prep’s college counseling team is here to guide students and families with clarity, care, and confidence.
