Oratory Prep proudly celebrated D1 Signing Day by honoring three exceptional Senior Rams who officially committed to continue their athletic careers at the collegiate level. Surrounded by teammates, coaches, faculty, and family, these student-athletes marked an important milestone in their journeys as Rams and as young men prepared for the next chapter.
Connor Bassolino will compete in Cross Country at the University of Richmond. A relentless competitor and respected leader within the OP Cross Country program, Connor’s dedication, work ethic, and perseverance have helped elevate the team year after year. His commitment to excellence on and off the course has defined his time at Oratory, and Richmond is gaining an athlete who leads by example and never backs down from a challenge.
Joseph DeMarco is headed to Lafayette College, where he will compete in Track & Field as a shot putter. A force in the ring and a steady presence within the OP Track & Field program, Joey’s strength, discipline, and consistent growth have set him apart. His commitment to refining his craft and supporting his teammates reflects the values of the OP Brotherhood, and Lafayette welcomes a competitor ready to make an immediate impact.
Devon Fernandez will continue his volleyball career at UC Santa Barbara. A standout performer for OP Volleyball, Devon brought energy, athleticism, and leadership to every match. His passion for the game and ability to rise in big moments made him a cornerstone of the program, and his opportunity to compete at the Division I level on the West Coast is a testament to years of hard work and determination.
These three Senior Rams exemplify what it means to be part of the Oratory Prep Brotherhood through their commitment, character, and passion for their sport. The entire Oratory community congratulates Connor, Joey, and Devon and looks forward to cheering them on as they take this exciting next step in their athletic and academic journeys.
