Baseball
Varsity Baseball has delivered an impressive season, currently holding a 15–6 overall record and making program history in multiple ways. The Rams earned the No. 6 seed in the Union County Tournament—the highest ever for OP—and on Friday, May 16, defeated Union 4–1 to clinch their first-ever Union County Conference Mountain Division Championship. With a few games remaining before the Non-Public North A State Tournament begins on May 28, the team continues to build momentum. In recognition of their success, OP Baseball was also named Union County “Team of the Week.
Golf
Senior Henry Bolster '25 has dominated the local golf scene this spring, capturing both the Conference and Union County Championships. With an impressive 3-under 68 at the county tournament, Henry was eight strokes ahead of the nearest competitor, securing his place as one of the top high school golfers in New Jersey and giving OP a major highlight in the 2025 season.
Lacrosse
The Rams Lacrosse team has seen a remarkable turnaround this season, already quadrupling last year’s win total with four victories. Under new leadership and with renewed energy, the program is showing signs of growth and resilience. The bounce-back season signals a bright future ahead for OP Lacrosse as the team continues building its foundation.
Tennis
Varsity Tennis continues its dynasty, winning the Mountain Division Conference Championship for the third consecutive year. Currently sitting at 13–6, the Rams have proven themselves to be one of the most consistent and competitive programs on campus. With strong play from both singles and doubles teams, they remain a threat in every match they enter.
Track & Field
The spring track and field team clinched its second straight conference championship, continuing a dominant run in distance, sprints, and throws. The season was punctuated by a historic performance from junior Connor Bassolino '26, who became OP’s first Union County champion in the 3200m event. Connor clocked a school-record 9:26 after an astonishing final lap of 63 seconds, overtaking the field to win the title—OP’s first spring track county championship since 2012. His performance has not only earned school-wide acclaim but also set a new standard for future OP distance runners.
Volleyball
Now in just its second season, OP Volleyball continues to impress with an 13-win campaign that includes signature victories over powerhouse programs like Westfield and Chatham. The team has doubled its win total from last year and is establishing itself as a rising force in the county volleyball scene.
