Oratory Prep School is pleased to announce the appointment of Bill McCutcheon as the new Head Coach of the Rams Lacrosse program. Coach McCutcheon brings with him a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success at both the high school and collegiate levels.
For the past five seasons, Coach McCutcheon has led the Division I lacrosse program at Wagner College. Before his time at Wagner, he was a key member of the inaugural coaching staff at Monmouth University, where he played an instrumental role in the program's rapid rise to success, culminating in a conference championship just four years after its inception.
After a successful stint in the collegiate ranks, Coach McCutcheon made the deliberate decision to return to his roots as a teacher and high school coach. His high school coaching career began at his alma mater, Chatham High School, following an illustrious playing career at Johns Hopkins University and Towson University.
Coach McCutcheon went on to become the Head Coach at Millburn High School, where he also taught English. During his three-year tenure at Millburn, his teams amassed an impressive 40-20 record and made two appearances in the state semifinals.
Coach McCutcheon is eager to join the Oratory Prep community, where he will not only lead our lacrosse program but also contribute as a member of our faculty, teaching English. His passion for the sport as well as education makes him an excellent fit for the OP community, and we look forward to the positive impact he will have on our students both on and off the field.
