to the U.S. Naval Academy in the fall. Following Henderson’s reflection, the Associate Head of School, Mr. Owen McGowan, awarded the diplomas to the Class of 2021. After a standing ovation for the graduating class, the Valedictorian, Samuel DeMarinis of Morris Plains shared his thoughts with the Class of 2021. As an avid artist, Sam drew parallels between the high school journey and creating a painting. He explained how in both situations, the small steps along the way build on each other to create a beautiful masterpiece. Samuel will embark on the next leg of his academic career at Tulane University. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the seventy-nine graduates closed the event with the traditional cap toss as a class.
The graduates will write their next chapters at a number of prestigious institutions this fall, including the University of Notre Dame, Case Western Reserve University, Carnegie Mellon University, UC Berkeley, Trinity College, Boston College, Northeastern University, Villanova University and the University of Miami.
