For 114 years, Oratory Prep has offered a rigorous academic program while remaining committed to the character development of young men and upholding the Roman Catholic tradition. One of the greatest indicators of OP’s continued success is the postsecondary enrollments of our graduates. This year's Senior class of 72 students has certainly lived up to the school's reputation, racking up acceptance letters from some of the most selective colleges and universities across the country.
Among the notable acceptances are Cornell University, University of Notre Dame, Boston College, George Washington University, Howard University and Villanova University. Additionally, many students have been accepted to top liberal arts colleges such as William & Mary, Lafayette College, and Carleton College.
The Class of 2024's college acceptances are a testament to their hard work, dedication, and academic prowess. Oratory Prep's faculty and staff are proud of their students' accomplishments and are confident that they will continue to excel in their future academic endeavors.
In addition to their impressive academic achievements, the graduating Class of 2024 has also demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and character. This year alone, they have cumulatively volunteered well over 1,200 hours to local organizations and made a lasting positive impact in their communities. Of the graduates, six received the Presidential Volunteer Service Award, and two students received the American Citizenship Award from the National Association of Secondary School Principals.
Oratory Prep’s Director of College Planning, Mrs. Marybeth Competelli, praised the graduates, saying, "the Class of 2024 is an exceptional group. They are bright, hardworking, and regularly demonstrated those admirable characteristics you look for in our future leaders. I feel blessed to know them and am so excited to hear about their first year. I am confident they're going to have great stories to share."
