Mr. Sebastian Hill

Mr. Hill came to Oratory Prep in 2022 after more than eight years of teaching high school English following a career in broadcast journalism and public relations. Upon graduating from Rutgers University with a double major in English and journalism, he worked for more than 15 years for cable news outlets in New York City. After deciding to apply his hands-on work experience to teaching at the high school level, he earned his New Jersey Teacher of English Certificate from St. Peter’s University in Jersey City. He has taught grades 9-12 in the Plainfield and Elizabeth Public School districts. Additionally, he supervised the creation and publication of school newspapers in both high schools. In his spare time he enjoys running, sailing and playing bass guitar in a local rock band.
