Freshmen receives award from Seton Hall University

"Inspired by Pope Francis' declaration of December 8, 2015 to November 20, 2016 as an Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy, the Department of Catholic Studies has begun an annual Jubilee of Mercy Essay Contest, which was  open to all Catholic High School Students in the State of New Jersey.

This year's winners wrote essays that shared a real-life story of mercy that inspired them to live out at least one of the virtues of Love, Charity, and Forgiveness each day. Their essays also demonstrated how their particular story highlights the need for mercy in our world today. The three winning essays will be published in Arcadia magazine, which is published by the Department and Center for Catholic Studies at Seton Hall University."
