Mr. Kevin Lueck

Kevin Lueck earned his BA in classical languages from Carleton College where he graduated cum laude and earned departmental distinction. He received his MA in Latin from Columbia University. He has been an educator since 2005 when he began teaching Latin and serving in various administrative roles at Preston High School in the Bronx. While at Preston, he expanded the Latin program, which had traditionally been limited to levels 1 and 2, to add a Latin 3 and, eventually, a Latin 4.

 

Mr. Lueck has been at Oratory since the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. He teaches Intermediate MS Latin, Latin 2, Latin 3, Latin 3 Honors and Latin Literature. Additionally, Mr. Lueck has been the Head Golf Coach at Oratory since the spring of 2022 and began moderating the Chess Club beginning in the fall of 2022. Mr. Lueck is impressed by the spirit of collegiality at Oratory Prep among the faculty and students and is very happy to have the opportunity to teach and coach at Oratory Prep.
