Campus Minister

Welcome to Oratory Prep Campus Ministry! I am excited that you are with us!

Our community has so much to look forward to in this 2017-2018 year. It is the first full academic year that our new building, DeGaeta Hall, is fully functional. With this addition to our campus comes so many other changes and opportunities. Now that the physical building has been completed, our desire is to dream about and implement other ways to continue “building” our community.

Our school theme this year is “Building…”. We will be encouraging faculty, staff and students to focus on the things that each of us wants to build for ourselves, for our colleagues and for the community. It may be a desire to build knowledge, compassion, positive relationships, or a lasting legacy. What do you want to ‘build’ in your own life?

In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus says, “I will show you what he is like who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice. He is like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock.” (Luke 6:47-48)

The greatest desire behind all that we do in Campus Ministry is to help and encourage our students, faculty and staff to build their houses on a solid foundation. We do this through seeking God, learning about what God has to say, and putting those words into practice.

I encourage you to explore the different types of liturgies, retreats and service opportunities available here at Oratory Prep. How can we help you build your house on solid rock?

We look forward to being on the journey with you!

Blessings,

Jennifer Otterbein Yoo
