Mr. Michael Manna

Mr. Manna came to Oratory Prep in the 2010-2011 school year as the tennis coach upon his graduation from Caldwell College in 2010 with a degree in Education and Social Studies In addition to his degree, Mr. Manna earned Highly Qualified Teacher status in mathematics by completing the required coursework and passing the NJ State Praxis Exam.

 

During his time at Caldwell, Mr. Manna was a four-year member and two-time captain of the tennis team. In addition to coaching OP tennis, he coached at Kent Place school for nine years and was named Union County Coach of the Year, 2012 and New Jersey State Coach of the Year, 2017 by both NJ.com and the National Federation of State High School Associations. Prior to joining the faculty at Oratory, he taught at Oak Knoll for seven years and previously worked in the Livingston and Glen Ridge Public School districts.

 

At OP, Mr. Manna currently teaches Business I/II, 7th/8th grade Social Studies and 7th grade Math, and advises the Middle School Math League. He is also coaching Middle School Soccer and co-coaching the Freshman Soccer team.
