Welcome!

The Mock Trial team is composed of Upper School students who prepare for and present a fictional court case distributed by the New Jersey State Bar Foundation. The competition allows students to portray lawyers and witnesses in an actual courtroom setting. An emphasis is placed on forming questions and preparing answers for both the prosecution/plaintiff and defense sides. Students have the opportunity to work with attorney advisers who help them construct their arguments. Oratory students, in addition, interact with other local high schools in the competition. Competitions are held at the local, regional, state, and national levels.

OP has captured a state title, five regional championships, and sixteen county championships since the program's inception during the 2003-2004 school year.
