Some of the skills students will learn/hone are: time management, organization of papers and assignments, note taking, planning projects and homework, short and long term goal setting, organization of space in school and at home, communicating with teachers, and test taking strategies/preparation. The cost of the course is $225 for the five weeks. *Please note that most 9th graders do take a Study skills class for one quarter, and this class will supplement what students learn in that course.
Each session will run from 3:00-4:00 P.M OR 4:15-5:15 PM. The following are the dates the course will run:
Session 1: 3:00-4:00: September 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 and October 2, 4, and 16 (Grades 7-9)
Session 2: 4:15-5:15: September 11, 13, 18, 20, 25, 27 and October 2, 4, and 16 (Grades 9-12)
Session 3: 3:00-4:00: September 12, 19, 21, 26, 28 and October 3, 5, 10, and 12 (Grades 7-9)
Session 4: 4:15-5:15 September 12, 19, 21, 26, 28 and October 3, 5, 10, and 12 (Grades 9-12)
*Should a session need to be canceled, a make-up session will be scheduled (9 total sessions). There are no partial refunds for missed classes.
